Account information

The app stores your username, email, password hash, selected language, score, last visited path, and saved paths to maintain your account and let you keep playing across sessions.

Gameplay activity

The app records question attempts, answers, correctness, topic paths, and timing so it can show scores, rematches, recent paths, trending paths, and related game features.

Generated content

When a new branch needs questions, the app may send the requested topic path and nearby question context to an AI provider to generate fresh questions. Your password should not be sent to the AI provider.

Technical and security data

Like most web services, 5 By 5 may process technical data such as IP address, browser, request times, errors, and cookies or sessions needed to log you in, protect the app, diagnose problems, and enforce generation limits.

How information is used

We use information to create and maintain accounts, show scores and rematches, save favorites, remember recent paths, calculate trending topics, generate new questions, prevent abuse, respond to support, and improve the experience.

Sharing information

We may share information with providers that help operate the app, such as hosting, database, AI, analytics, or email services. We may also share information if needed for law, safety, protecting users, or at your direction when you use sharing features.

No sale of personal data

5 By 5 is not built to sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Future sharing or social features should stay opt-in and should be reviewed before launch.

Retention

We keep information while your account exists or while it is needed to operate the app, maintain game records, protect the service, meet legal obligations, or resolve problems. Some generated questions may remain in the app-wide question database.

Your choices

You can change your email and password in account settings. You can ask for help accessing, correcting, or deleting account information through the support or access channel you are using.

Children

5 By 5 is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 created an account or submitted personal information, contact the team so it can be reviewed and removed.
